At some point, most parents have questions:
- To which section to give the child?
- What sport is good for children?
- How to give a child the opportunity to grow up harmoniously?
In search of answers, many turn to friends, whose children are already mastering any sport. Someone is starting to explore the Internet, which has a lot of completely different proposals, options, directions and sections. The modern world offers an incredible number of sports, including football, basketball, handball, swimming, boxing and more.
This list could go on and on. But we firmly believe that martial arts can be of the greatest benefit. What are their main advantages?
What martial arts classes are good for children
The main benefit is that not only the body develops in these classes. During training there is a very serious educational process. Discipline, the ability to control emotions, respect and helping friends are important in any martial art. Martial arts for children is the education not only of the body but also of the spirit.
And here the next question arises – what kind of sport to prefer? This question is purely individual for everyone. No one knows their children better than their own parents, and it is up to them to choose why the child will devote his time.
The world of martial arts is diverse. Sports in Kyiv, as well as in Ukraine as a whole, are represented by many areas: karate, taekwondo, boxing, Thai boxing, kickboxing, jiu-jitsu, wushu, kung fu, judo and so on.
But for us a special place is occupied by aikido. The reason for this is very simple – it is not a competitive sport.
Why a child should train Applied Aikido
In Aikido there are no losers, no second and third places, or last place in the standings. There are not all those moments that may seem insignificant to an adult, but for children it will be a real catastrophe that can raise doubts about their abilities. The child may not just start to worry, but despair that he can achieve something. He can live and practice with the thought that he is always second, no matter how hard he teaches and no matter what he does. In Aikido, a child will never face this. His only main opponent will be himself. And the goal will always be the same – to become better than yourself, to always develop, to move forward all the time.
Applied Aikido for children is an opportunity to develop their physical abilities, cultivate character, learn to make friends and help those around you. The most important thing: children’s aikido is a harmonious physical and mental development of a growing organism. This is the path you can take all your life.
